does anyone out there know of any jws that have talked about what their personal relationship with jehovah was like?
for example, hearing his voice, a certain feeling?
an intellectual understanding?
many years ago on UK television---was a series of adverts for a bank--in which a customers bank manager lived in their wardrobe.
the way some dubs use to talk----mostly batty women i must say---its as if their jehovah lived in their wardrobe.
crazy just doesnt quite hit the spot.
this latest attack in manchester u.k. targeting a venue attended by mainly children and teenagers who go to a concert by their favorite singer and then to be attacked by a terroist has to be the last straw... surely ?
22 dead at last count mainly young girls enjoying a concert of their favourite singer ?
and at least 50 others suffering injuries ?.
bearing in mind that most islamist terrorists here in the UK are young people born here---some even converted to islam rather than born into it...then if their motive is to try to convert others to islam by extreme violence.....isnt this treason ?
correct me if i'm wrong---but doesnt treason--in the UK--- still carry the death penalty ?

I found the first half of the book hard going...a lot of watchtower. I nearly chucked of out. Then I started half way through.....and couldn't put it down.
Roger Moore was also Ivanhoe in the TV series.
circuit overseers, elders, ministerial servants, pioneers and rank & file are stressed out over an ex-jw (kevin) who has visited nearly 20 congregations (orange county) and has high-jacked the opening prayers and done some effective witnessing before he is escorted to the back door.
and everything is caught on video!.
kevin is also visiting numerous jw cart locations from the los angeles area to orange county and giving a most effective wiitness at each location and they're all on video.

my brother got remarried to his ex-wife over the weekend.
they had been married for 15 years, but divorced in 2011. they decided to give it another try, because they have 3 kids together, and the dating pool is very thin for jws in their 30's and 40's.
we didn't want to attend, but since i was invited, and they were kind enough to attend our wedding, we decided to suck it up.. the most interesting part was the way my wife responded to the whole ordeal.
Jehovah is the first name..god is his surname.

my dad died january last year. he had been very ill in hospital for some weeks. he was 94. a jw for nearly 60 years. i made a careful study of his will for any funeral requirements. there were none.
i arranged a simple non-religious committal at the crematorium. just myself and a few friends of mine present. no way was i having any jw's there. they had totally abandoned him in his last 2 years.
as i was cutting up our bbq chook in preperation for our meals i thought about some indigenous societies that just after a kill give thanks to the spirit of the animal for providing its life so he and his family can live.. i thought that seems to make a helluva lot more sense than giving thanks to an unseen god who is apparently indifferent to mankinds sufferings and is deaf to all the prayers that are offered up to him.. maybe we dont hunt for our food nowadays in the civilized world , but i think its food for thought..

with the "generation change" and them changing it all the time it would make sence to dump it all togeather.. lets face it ,it can be disproved easly.. they dumped 1975 in a heart beat .. this would buy them all the time they wanted as they would just find another date to start the generation from ie: "the u.n year of peace and sercurty'',1986 i belive or whatever else they could think of.. they could sell it to the r&f as easly as they sold 1975,then dumped it when it did'nt happen .. anyone questioning them would be told they are running ahead of jehovah or lacking faith in his earthly org that feeds us food at the proper time .. what do you think?.

the watchtower will simply--very quietly--say something about new light and make 1914 go away. i doubt if many dubs will even notice. unless they read this forum !
